A little bit so we can talk about what anime we like/dislike, and make suggestions for stuff we recon is a good watch. I’ll go first with the series Fate/stay night, a nicely done anime that falls into the “action/tournament” category, but with out the dragged out combat scenes. The basic plot is that every few decades, seven masters are chosen and given seven servants that are the spirits of ancient Epic heroes’, (or in some cases, epic monsters) from all around the world. Their task is to fight till the last man is standing, and the prize? The Holy Grail will manifest and grant the surviving master and servant their wish (one for each of them). The main character of the current Grail War is Shiro Emyia, a young man with strong ideas of justice and that, but don’t worry, he has a personality to back that up . He is a reluctant participant in the war, and his ideas bring him to blows with his servant, Saber (the hero *bleeeeep*). So to finish this with out dropping any major spoilers, a rather good watch, but slightly shorter than most animes (only 24 eps). But I warn you if you go looking for pic’s of this on the net, the original game its based off is a visual novel with H elements and some scenes of extreme violence (so safe search on) Over all, probably 8 or 9 out of 10, it looks nice, has a good story and is easy to rewatch.

I haven't really been into anime since about 2004, but I still watch some sporadically. The one I"m into right now is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai ( When They Cry Solutions). It's the second series for When They Cry, which is a horror/mystery anime. Strange deaths are occurring in the area of Hinamizawa, and a circle of friends are left to find out what's going on. This sequel, as you can tell from the title,l has answered a ton of questions I had surrounding the original series and the craziness therein. There's a third series called Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei ( When They Cry Gratitudes), that I'd like to check out when I'm done with this one. All 3 series are based on a soft sound (visual) novel series. I especially recommend the original anime for anyone who likes a good puzzle!
